DNS (Domain Name System) internet ka address book hai, jo domain names ko IP addresses me translate karta hai. Jab bhi aap web browser me ek URL enter karte hain, DNS ensure karta hai ki aap correct server tak pahunch payen by converting human-readable domain names (jaise www.example.com) into machine-readable IP addresses (jaise 192.0.2.1). DNS Ka Basic Structure

  1. Domain Names:

    • Human-friendly names jo internet resources ko identify karte hain.

  3. DNS Servers:

      • Recursive Resolvers: Client ke query ko process karte hain aur response return karte hain.
      • Root Servers: Top-level DNS servers jo root zone manage karte hain.

      • Authoritative Name Servers: Specific domain names ke authoritative answers provide karte hain.

DNS Ka Working Process

  1. DNS Query Initiation:

    • Jab aap apne browser me www.example.com enter karte hain, ek DNS query initiate hoti hai to resolve the domain name.
  2. Recursive Resolver:

    • Pehla stop recursive resolver hota hai jo query ko process karta hai. Agar uske paas answer cache me hai, to direct return karta hai. Agar nahi, to root server se puchhta hai.
  3. Root Server:

    • Recursive resolver root server se contact karta hai jo TLD server ke location ko identify karta hai.
    • Root server recursive resolver ko TLD server ka address deta hai.
  4. TLD Server:

    • Recursive resolver TLD server se contact karta hai jo authoritative name server ke location ko identify karta hai.
    • TLD server recursive resolver ko authoritative name server ka address deta hai.
  5. Authoritative Name Server:

    • Recursive resolver authoritative name server se contact karta hai jo domain name ke actual IP address ko return karta hai.
    • Example: www.example.com ka IP address 192.0.2.1 hai.
  6. Response to Client:

    • Recursive resolver IP address ko client ko return karta hai aur browser server se connect hota hai to requested webpage ko load karne ke liye.

DNS Records Ke Types

  1. A Record:

    • IPv4 address ko map karta hai domain name ke sath.
    • Example: example.com A 192.0.2.1
  2. AAAA Record:

    • IPv6 address ko map karta hai domain name ke sath.
    • Example: example.com AAAA 2001:db8::1
  3. CNAME Record:

    • Ek domain name ko dusre domain name se alias karta hai.
    • Example: www.example.com CNAME example.com
  4. MX Record:

    • Mail servers ko specify karta hai jo emails handle karte hain for the domain.
    • Example: example.com MX mail.example.com
  5. TXT Record:

    • Arbitrary text data store karta hai jo verification aur other purposes ke liye use hota hai.
